“Good lord!” I exclaimed, “there were so many ‘I like to thank God...’ at your award ceremony!”, I asked my son, who is graduation from high school. “Who would you like to thank, if you must.” I asked him.
“I know! That was … strange, and weird! Wow, they all thanked their God. Nearly all of them!” My son agreed.
“So, my son, as a god-less Atheist creature, who would you like to thank?” I asked again.
“Well.... I like to thank... myself!” My son said without any reservation or hesitation.
“Of course, I like to thank for your genes first, yes, for the remarkable Asian genes my mom has afforded me at birth... “ he shouted loudly.
“Most of all, definitely, I like to thank myself, for the incredible test-taking skills that allows me to mark my first choice among A, B, C, D without suspicion or regret, simply submit my answers and wait for the tests to end.... , CSAP, SAT, ACT, or all final exams... yes, definitely -- I like to thank myself!”
